Are you looking for an adventure for the whole family, a small group, or just the kids? 

YEP's Small & Private Group Programs allow you to "choose your own adventure" to fit your group's needs! 

  • From discovering the joys of nature and exploration to increasing your outdoor skills, YEP can offer anything from hiking, rock climbing, snowshoeing, nature and science, and basic to technical outdoor skills to get your group to get outside and active together! 

  • You create a small group of up to 8 participants, and we provide the adventure of your choice! This option gives you assurance of who your child/family is interacting with. Great for participants of all ages and skill levels!


Cost: Program cost is $400 for a full-day adventure (typically 9am-3pm) for up to 4 participants, and $80 per additional participant up to 8. Prices may vary depending on the type of activity, length of program, and other customized options. Your group will pay together in one payment once we have agreed upon an itinerary after registration. 

Program fees include: instruction by health-screened and trained outdoor educators, equipment use, supplies, and snacks. 

Time & Location: YEP runs programs during the day, afterschool, and during the weekends upon request. Timing ranges half-day adventures (up to 3 hours), full-day adventures (typically 9am-3pm), or multi-day adventures. 

*YEP typically travels up to 15 miles (e.g. Golden, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Westminster, and West Denver areas) for Small Group Programs. If you would like us to meet your group more than 15 miles from the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, we may charge an additional travel fee (dependent on distance/time to get to your location). 

*YEP is currently NOT transporting participants, and groups will be meeting us at pre-determined sites.

Refund/cancellation policy: Requests made prior to 14 days before the beginning of the event will be processed with a $10 handling fee. Requests made within 14 days of the event will be refunded at 50% of the amount paid. No refunds will be made 7 days prior to the event.  If the CMC cancels the class for any reason, a full refund will be issued.

*Extenuating Circumstances & COVID 19 related cancellations: You will be permitted to cancel or reschedule with no additional fees prior to your program if anyone in your group exhibits symptoms of or tests postive for COVID-19. Or if anyone in your group has come into contact with someone suspected of being positive, or who has tested positive for COVID-19.
