YEP values relationships. Relationships with its partners and students. We believe our curriculum and program is the most effective and impactful when we work with students multiple times over multiple years. Although we occasionally run one-time programs with groups, we prioritize repeat engagements with our students, where we can spend time to get to know students and build off previous knowledge through a learner's journey, and develop meaningful relationships.
“Since the 2017-2018 school year we have chosen CMC's YEP programs for our scholars. CMC's youth education programs provide our scholars the chance to engage with nature in a way they rarely have the chance to. Students in the past have loved the geology and leadership hikes, classroom watershed presentation, and rock climbing. Many come away from these trips asking if we will go hiking again.
CMC's programs get scholars excited about being in nature and being active. Additionally, CMC is very intentional about making programs engaging, hands-on, and interactive for scholars, which is why scholars come away feeling inspired and with curiosity sparked. All of the CMC staff with whom we have worked have always been highly prepared and welcomed all scholars into activities and discussions, gauging their background knowledge and adjusting questions and activities as needed....We highly value the work CMC does of providing truly educational experiences for scholars. Everything has always been so thought-out, planned, and organized.”
